Panel blinds are an elegant and versatile solution for larger windows and patio doors, or as a room divider. They are made of large panels of fabric which stack neatly behind one another when open. To control the light, simply slide the panels to the required position. You can also co-ordinate different fabrics to achieve the desired affect. To comply with child safety regulations, our panel blinds come with a cord tidy.
Pleated blinds look great in any room and can be made in any shape and size, ideal for conservatory roofs.
Available as 20 and 50mm pleats, many of our pleated fabrics come with solar protective coating. This keeps the heat in during the winter, helping to save on heating costs and keeps the heat out in the summer.
To comply with child safety regulations, our free hanging pleated blinds come with a cord tidy. Pleated blinds can also be used inside a perfect fit frame which needs no cords to operate.
All our pleated blinds are made with “equi-pleat”, which gives equal spacing to all the pleats in the whole length of the blind. Many of our competitors do not use this system, which means that, as gravity takes affect, it causes flattened pleats at the top of the blind and gathered pleats at the bottom. When fitted to a roof , they glide along tension wires which keeps the blind at the same angle as the roof and are pre-tensioned, which allows the blind to stop in any position.
A roman blind combines the subtle textures of soft fold fabric with the practicality of a window blind. At Spectrum we have hundreds of materials to choose from. We have stunning patterns, prints, plans and naturals to suit any decor.
Our roman blinds are made by hand. Blackout lining is used and to give a nicer, cleaner look there are no stitch lines across the blind. Each roman is finished off with a pelmet and an easy to use roller chain system (no cord and cleat). All this is done as standard and is extremely popular with our customers.
There are also optional extras including braid, scalloped edges or eyelets. To comply with child safety regulations, a cord tidy is supplied with your blind.
With Spectrum Blinds you really can ‘design your own roller blind’. With a choice of pelmet, bottom bar (including wooden), scalloped shape, pole, finials, eyelets, braids and pulls. The choice is endless!
Roller blinds are simple, stylish and very easy to operate. We have a huge selection of plain, traditional and ultra modern designs to choose from. Some of them have dim and blackout backing, ideal for kids bedrooms, and vinyl coated which are easy to wipe down and are ideal for bathrooms and kitchens. Roller blinds can also be used in perfect fit frames.
To comply with child safety regulations, our rollers come with easy break chain, which breaks open when under strain but clicks back together very easily. We also have easy glide rollers (chainless) which can be set to stop at the height of your choice.
Venetian blinds are very easy to use and can be tilted to allow some light in whilst maintaining privacy too.

We use very robust slimline headrails with a heavy gauge slat which won’t bend or crease easily. Our venetians are available in 25, 35 and 50mm slats and to conform with child safety regulations our venetian blinds come with ultrawand controls (no hanging cord), unless otherwise stated by you. All our venetians can also be used inside perfect fit frames.
Aliwood Venetian Blinds
If you like wooden venetians but are not sure about having them in bathrooms and conservatories due to heat and moisture, then you have the option of aliwoods. They come in a 25mm slat and are aluminium with a woodgrain print making them difficult to tell apart from wooden venetians. They are also ideal to use inside perfect fit frames and to conform with child safety regulations they come with ultrawand controls (no hanging cord) unless otherwise stated by you.
Wooden Venetian Blinds
All our wooden venetian blinds are made from basswood and come in 25, 35 and 50mm slat with a matching pelmet. We have a vast choice of colour and grains to choose from including soft grain and perfect grain. We also have a brand new range of 50mm gloss venetians which give a designer look at realistic prices. Our wooden venetians can also be customised with a choice of braid, toggle and alternative pelmet, including metal and leather.
As well as the new gloss wooden venetians, we are excited to introduce our new stunning 65mm curved wooden venetians, which allow more privacy. They come in three colours and give a beautiful shutter look at a lower price.
Vertical blinds are the most popular blinds around as they are easy to use and extremely versatile. They can be drawn to the left, right or split in the middle and the louvres rotate to filter the light and to maintain privacy. Our louvres are available in 3.5 and 5″ widths and are stitched – not bonded – and many of them are machine washable too.
We have a huge range of colours and designs from faux suede to contemporary printed and woven designs to traditional jacquards. We also have solar backed louvres which keep heat in during the winter and keep a room cool during the summer, ideal in conservatories. Not forgetting blackout fabric – ideal for childrens rooms!
Not only do we have a wide range of patterns and colours of vertical blinds to choose from we also, at no extra cost, offer you a choice of stylish headrails to co-ordinate with your louvres, and our customers love it. You can either choose from our vogue headrail which comes in five colours (piano black, white, brown, champagne gold or brushed aluminium). The vogue headrail from Louvolite is a stylish, slimline headrail with optimum spacing of louvres for a superior look. Or you can choose a matching pelmet which clips onto the headrail, completely hiding it. The choice is yours. We also specialise in curved headrails which are ideal for bay windows.
At Spectrum we are very aware of the need for child safety around blinds. That is why we offer mono wands, a cord tidy or even chainless louvres where there is no trail of chain which would cause a hazard to a child or pet.
